Interesting.

A reasonable to walk down to the canal and the specialty shopping area Enjoyed looking through the Brewery Would love to have seen the area in good weather as it was snowing and by evening, some parts quite icy.

Location was a about a 15 minute of a walk from the station. The entry to the Hotel was icy - some people were slipping. Coffee available afternoon/evening but not in the morning?!

Great location, comfortable stay and nice hotel in the centre of Otaru.

A nice hotel in Otaru central location within walking distance of all the main touristy sights & spots (5mins to the canal and all the shopping / food spots in town). Stay was super comfortable, staff were friendly / helpful and the room itself was very nice with a good view facing the sea / canal side (could not see the canals though as we were in a lower floor). Great location, and good amenities for 1-2 nights stay in Otaru. Parking too was available at JPY1500 per day at the hotel itself, slightly more expensive than the commercial car parks but convenient (would have been nice if guests had free parking but again this is not the norm in city/town hotels in Japan).

Car parking could have been provided for hotel guests for free or at a subsidised rate. Overall no complaints or issues, was a great stay.

Overall happy with the stay and the service.

Very conveniently located, with on-site parking available upon request, although there is an extra charge. Walking distance to the famous Sakaimachi shopping street and the canal, among other places of interest. Room was clean and not too squashy. The buffet breakfast was very nice. Although not the biggest variety, there was still more than enough to eat and of a good quality.

The layout was awkward, as the sink for washing your hands/face is in the corridor area when you first walk into the room, with the toilet and the bath/shower in separate little rooms. There is a sliding door which closes this area off from the beds/TV area, but not always practical.

Generally a nice, new, modern and quiet hotel. Hotel is on elevated ground pretty view on high floor

Location was quite central and 10-15mins walk from the train/bus station. Simple no frills hotel. Convenience store next to hotel.

Not many eateries or places of interest around hotel. Walk 20-25 mins to Canal and old town. But walk was pretty pleasant. Not really a `didn't like'. Just nothing around hotel.

Boutique hotel with exceptional breakfast spread.

New boutique hotel with one of the most delightful and good spread Japanese breakfasts I have had. Every dish is tasty, carefully prepared and displayed. The bread and pastry basket were unforgetable. We had the Otaru Port view and on a clear day, we could see as far as the windmill power farm and sunrise. Beddings are clean and comfy. Walking distance to Otaru Canal and shopping street. Next to Lawson and 2 covered shopping street. I am grateful to the room service and front desk teams for retrieving and keeping my items in the safe as I forgot to remove them when I checkout. Their email reminder truly saved the day. I stayed in the Superior Twin Room.

Only 1 thing I like to suggest - Do offer an option to turn off the vanity light behind the mirror, it was simply too bright.

The breakfast was excellent and the view we had from our room was great. Firm beds are also a plus. Staff friendly and efficient. Location also good

Great modern hotel. Lobby and restaurant get very crowded with large groups (bus) but the staff cope very.

Onsen is excellent, Breakfast with different rotating menu items was great - better coffee would be nice. The larger rooms with separate toilet are perfect for two skiers, standard rooms would be more of a challenge. A retractable clothes line in shower area would be very helpful.

Front desk service could be done better. In comparison the restaurant staff are excellent!

Excellent hotel. New modern rooms with lots of space ! Close proximity to the train station and canals. Staff are super friendly and the breakfast was good. Could do with some more western options. How ever this is a very minor gripe.

Lovely hotel, pretty town, convenient location

The family room was spacious and had a bathtub for the children, they each got a kids amenities pack and a good sized single bed each and we still had space to move around. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had an excellent view downhill towards the harbour.

Would have been helpful if they had food options outside of breakfast in the hotel cause we stayed over the NY period and had very young children who weren’t used to snow, but the Lawson was right next door and had food that we just heated up in the microwave in the hotel lobby and was surprisingly good!

It seems like a modern hotel with simple and smart design in every details. It locates at good place which is next to a convinence shop.

The room for three is quite small. Small table and chairs have to put aside at the end of the beds. Parking space is not enough and clients have to park at the otber parking space.
